Notes
This release does not have "MASTERED BY CAPITOL" in runouts. [l=MCA Pressing Plant, Gloversville] pressing denoted by ⧈-G-⧈ stamp in runouts.1978 repressing with tan labels that have a brown solid perimeter band. The album includes an insert that is a composite of one side from each of the two inserts that came with original pressings. One side includes the track list and credits. On the original insert this information was backed with the tour dates. The other side is a merchandise promo offer for items for sale, and includes information about, and requests for donations for the Ronnie Van Zant / Steve Gaines Foundation "For the benefit and education..." for their daughter's education, and an additional request for a music scholarship fund set up "on behalf of Steve and Cassie Gaines..." to support students at Northeastern Oklahoma A & M Arts and Music College. The original insert had a questionnaire about which previous Lynyrd Skynyrd LPs the purchaser already had on the reverse. The wording on the merchandise promotional offer side was also altered. The original had "LYNYRD SKYNYRD - SURVIVAL KIT" and the reissue version (seen here) had dropped "SURVIVAL KIT". An original insert can be viewed at: [r5238748].This is a reissue, the previous release had different jacket artwork with flames for background on the front cover that was removed after the tragic accident. The new front cover image is a blow-up of the group shot that appeared on the back cover of the original pressing. The reissue version has replaced that back image with a track list. The record has an MCA sleeve with trade mark information along the bottom edge. (see image)℗ © 1977 MCA Records, Inc.
