All the pleces were recorded in Dec.75 or Jan.76, and are heard as played.: and were recorded at Tom Newman's barge (Argonaut Studio). — uses two guitara simultaneously - an Ormaton-Burns Black Bison, and a Gibson 345. Both are fitted with an extra pick-up mounted above the first fret, which, together with & contact microphone, an ambience microphone and slow echo repeat, makes a total of 9 separate tracks at once. — was played on the Gibson. On — the guitar, a Burns TR 2, was treated with crocodile clips, crome pipe and a loudspeaker from the output of the main amp on the strings. The instrument was tuned BEAGBE, and the main loudspeaker was facing a plano frame. The recording was done on a Revox and cleaned up at Tom Newman's studio. and — were played on a home-made guitar (one neck of it pointing to the left, one to the right).
